![]() If you get too close to Vine Knight, it will crouch down and place its shield in front of it. You can also parry the vine attack, but it’s extremely difficult so good luck. The vine has a very long reach and the run + dodge combo is the only reliable combo that worked for us. When that happens, try to run away as far as you can and when the Vine Knight actually uses the vine whip, dodge outwardly. ![]() The vine attack is easy to notice - the Vine Knight’s vine arm will glow white and they’ll charge their arm up. In terms of the Vine Knight’s moves, there are really only two moves to look out for: a vine attack and a shield attack. Once you’ve taken those out, there are no more weak points to hit so you’ll need to use a mix of melee attacks, bow attacks, and bomb attacks to take them out. Shooting one of these will take out a nice healthy chunk of health. You’ll also receive the Pumpkin Rot Hat for collecting this Rot as well.Īnd speaking of weak spots, there are three to look out for on the Vine Knight: the yellow diamond on their face, the yellow diamond on their back, and the yellow diamond on their elbow. Have your Rot interact with it and they’ll unveil a Rot inside of it. The Rot Cloud will cause a pumpkin to glow and you should see that pink butterflies are flying around it. Use a Rot Cloud from that tear to grow all of the plants in the garden outside the house. After that, use your Rot to move the blue goop bucket to the Forest Tear spawn point inside the house. Defeat them (head to IGN’s Mage Boss Fight guide if you need help taking them down) and defeat the rest of the enemies here. Remember the Mage boss fight? The Mage is now a standard enemy. Rot 8 and Rot Hat 3įrom that bridge, walk forward across it and you’ll come across a house. ![]() Underneath that bridge, you’ll find a chest. See the bridge closest to the blue objective marker for Rufus’ Barn? Look to the right of it and you’ll see another bridge. Congrats! You’ve cleaned the Ancient Well! Use them as platforms as you destroy the three smaller corrupted bulbs and then finally, the fourth larger corrupted bulbs. Use the cloud to destroy the corruption and interact with the shrine to get some currency.Īfter that, head forward past the Forest Tear and follow the path along until you reach where we are below: You need to use a bomb on the stones below and then jump onto them. Use a bomb to actually fully build the bridge, quickly grab a Rot Cloud, and take it over the bridge to the nearby Flower Shrine. This opens up the door by Kena.Īfter this, head back to the Forest Tear and cross over the bridge by it. ![]() After that, use Rot on the corrupted bulb over there and shoot it with an arrow once it’s blue. Use this tear to create a Rot Cloud and then defeat the enemies that spawn. Shoot it and it will drop down and create a Forest Tear. Let’s clean the Ancient Well first.Īfter this, head deeper into the tree and when you feel like you’ve hit a dead end in front of a door, look around - across the way, you’ll see the blue goop of a Forest Tear hanging from above. They’ll task you with cleaning the corruption out of three points of interest in the fields. We will, of course, point out the collectibles directly accessible by completing the Fields’ main storyline, but at the end, we’ll have a large section with instructions on picking up the rest of the collectibles in this area.Īfter extinguishing the fire, head to the Adira’s Love memory and talk to the NPC there. As a result, this section will have more backtracking than other sections. Some of them are walled off until certain things are done in the Fields. As a note, the Fields is the largest region in the game. After this, it’ll be time to collect some relics to summon Adira. Use your Adira Mask here and a cutscene will begin. Head there and step into the tree when you arrive. It will lead to the large spire in the distance with a blue-white glowing light on top. Head forward along the main path of the Fields and you’ll see the golden orb and its dust floating ahead of you. With that said, you have one objective: Help the Woodsmith. There are a ton of collectibles in the fields - more than any regions we’ve visited thus far - but we can’t actually collect any right now. That’s because literally all of the fields are on fire. When you first enter the Fields, you’ll immediately know something has gone terribly wrong.
